Brian Jacques
I went to a book signing today, my first one. I went way to early but cause of that I got a wristband to be in the front row. I sat on the very end of the first row and ended up sitting next to Brian Jacques' wife, Liz. (She is a tall lady o.o)
Brian Jacques is a very energetic old dude, but I wish he had that hat on that he always wears in that picture of him on the back of the books. His microphone didn't work but that didn't phase him, he is a good speaker and cracks a lot of jokes. He also recited from memory, word or word the description of Cluny the Scourge.
This older dude sitting to my left I swear was a fur, cause when Brian Jacques started to take questions that guy asked why foxes are villains in his stories cause he likes foxes and they don't seem evil, I think that was what he said, or something like that. I know asking that question doesn't mean the person is a fur but I just got that feeling...
If your wondering Brian said that foxes, snakes, weasels, stoats are villains and vermin in his story's because of the trouble they cause farmers and such. He said "Go into a hen house and tell the chickens that foxes aren't bad" Or something like that. He said rats are villains because when a person betrays you, you call them a rat and such.
Well anyway After he talked about Redwall and his new book he sat down at the table to sign books. Some how I ended up being first in line and got his new book, Eulalia, and my first edition of Marlfox signed.
I had my Invader Zim shirt on which says "Me and the Squirrel are friends." He said he liked my shirt, I thanked him and then thanked him again for signing my books. He said your welcome.
Then I went home the end.
